The vision was to create a celebration that honored Black excellence, amplified minority-owned businesses, and brought the community together through a shared experience. At its core, the event was designed to raise funds that would provide grants to help entrepreneurs grow and thrive, while creating a space where culture, connection, and celebration could take center stage.
The client wanted guests to feel as though they had stepped into an entirely different world. Their vision included a bold Rodeo Drive-inspired theme, multiple immersive environments, elevated VIP experiences, themed food activations, and a grand entrance that would immediately set the tone for the evening.

We approached the event with one goal: create an experience guests wouldn’t stop talking about.
From the moment attendees arrived, they were welcomed by an oversized Rodeo sign and a vintage Ford truck that served as the gateway into the experience. Beyond the entrance, guests found themselves immersed in a world inspired by rodeo culture, entertainment, and community.
To bring the client’s vision of “three experiences in one” to life, we designed distinct environments throughout the event. One entrance tent featured the playful energy of a circus-inspired experience, while another transported guests into a classic cowboy saloon. Each space offered its own atmosphere while remaining connected through a cohesive design story.
Guests could enjoy a horse-riding activation, test their luck at the “Dig for Gold” experience for a chance to win real gold and diamond jewelry, and explore a food marketplace designed to feel like an authentic Western town. Custom-built saloon storefronts transformed vendor booths into immersive destinations, turning a traditional food area into part of the overall guest experience.
For VIP guests, we created exclusive “stables” and intimate picnic-style lounges that offered a more elevated and personalized way to enjoy the event.
Every element was intentionally designed to create moments of surprise, engagement, and connection.

Then, an hour before doors were scheduled to open, the weather had other plans.
A severe rainstorm moved through the venue, impacting décor installations, furniture layouts, activations, and key event elements that had taken days to build.
In a matter of minutes, the focus shifted from event production to problem-solving.
The Waitlist immediately mobilized vendors, staff, and volunteers to assess the damage, re-stage affected areas, and restore the guest experience without compromising the client’s vision. Through quick decision-making, teamwork, and a lot of determination, the entire event was reset in just 90 minutes.
Doors opened only one hour later than originally planned.
Most guests never knew what had happened behind the scenes.
Garden Pardi: Rodeo Drive welcomed approximately 1,500 guests and successfully delivered a one-of-a-kind celebration of culture, entrepreneurship, and community.
More importantly, it demonstrated what happens when intentional design meets resilience. The event not only raised funds to support minority-owned businesses through future grants, but also created an experience that reflected the power of community coming together to celebrate, support, and uplift one another.
Because the best events don’t just bring people together.
They create moments people wish they could experience again.
They create a waitlist.
